A marble is a metamorphic rock formed by alteration of limestone or dolomite, often irregularly colored by impurities and used especially in architecture and sculpture. Marble has been valued for thousands of years for its rich palette of beautiful colors and appearance and is perfect, pretty much anywhere in the house. Marble tiles are suitable for bathrooms, entryways and fireplaces, living & dining areas. Marble floor tiles are also used for both interior and exterior flooring applications. Some of the different colors of marble are white, red, black, mottled and banded, gray, pink, and green. The word "Marble" in construction and building industry has deviated from its original geological definition. Many crystallized calcite rich stones nicknamed alabasters have been categorized as "building marbles". Guizhou Cream marble stone quarried in Southern China is just an example. In some areas, terminology of "marble", "marble granite" or "marble stone" has been adopted to refer to "construction stone" in general.
